Hurricane Earl strengthens to Category 2

Hurricane Earl strengthened this evening and sustained winds are immediately 100 mph, making it a Category 2 hurricane. Earl is located 130 miles east of St. Martin and is forecast to become a "major" or Category 3 hurricane.<div class="feedflare">
